Our Oakley location is a hidden treasure in the Wasatch Mountains. While the amenities of shopping, dining, skiing, museums and film offered in Park City are only 20 minutes away, we couple those conveniences with the beautiful ranch lifestyle of the country – something that our residents value and protect. Out here in the Kamas Valley, there are no multi-lane highways, no obtrusive light or air pollution, and no large outlet malls. Instead, we have a large network of hiking and riding trails, easy access to National Parks, and one of the country’s finest rodeos.

Oakley was first explored around 1850 and incorporated in 1933. Our high mountain valley enjoys 6500 feet in elevation with the beautiful Weber River flowing through town.

Here are some of the activities and events Maple Ridge Ranches residents enjoy, from sports to museums to film, visual arts, food and music.

The Cowboy Way of Life

wester-logoCelebrate the ranch life and country western culture in Heber City. The 23rd Annual Heber Valley Western Music and & Cowboy Poetry Gathering in October 2017 will have, as always, an excellent line-up of Western music and talented cowboy poetry performers; some of the regulars have included Waddie Mitchell and Baxter Black, two of the most recognized cowboy poets in the world, the Bar J Wranglers, Michael Martin Murphey, Don Edwards and more. Put it on your calendar!

A Bridge to Maple Ridge

Today, there is nothing as nostalgic as a wooden bridge that represents the character of a country-side community. That is the case here in Maple Ridge Ranches where our covered bridge is more than a utilitarian convenience. It is the entry into a very special place for those who chose to call this home.

Although many people think of New England when they think of covered bridges, the Northwest, and in particular, Oregon, had over 600 at one time and still has the largest concentration west of the Mississippi.
